The product tester can be used to test whether your earthing sheet or other product is conductive, whether the wires are intact, and whether you are grounded when you lie on your earthing sheet or have your feet on a grounding mat.
To check the conductivity of sheets, pads and mats, place the crocodile clip on the conductive material near the snap button of the sheet, pad or mat. Press the metal plate of the tester against the conductive material anywhere and press the button. It will flash first to show that the battery is OK. Keep the button pressed down. If the light is continuously green, everything is OK.
To check if a cord is intact, attach the alligator clip to the metal snap connector at one end of the cord. Then hold the metal plate against the male connector at the other end of the cord. Keep the tester button pressed. A green light means the cord is intact.
Since it may seem strange to be grounded through your regular bed sheet, the tester can be used to show whether you have a connection to the sheet. Attach the alligator clip to the conductive material of the sheet at the edge, lie on the bed as if you were going to sleep and hold the tester in one hand. Wet a finger and hold it against the metal plate of the tester. Keep the button pressed. The green light will light when you have contact, but it may take a little while for the moisture from your body to reach through the bed sheet and you will have contact
